It’s almost Halloween which means it’s time to start reading magical romance books all about witches and the paranormal. So here are 9 book recommendations that I think you’ll love if you love witches.

The Ex Hex – Erin Sterling
Vivienne Jones had her heart broken and nursed it in any way a young witch would: drinking and cursing her ex-boyfriend. But nothing happens… until nine years later, he arrives back in town and the curse is activated.
Rhys Penhallow is a descendant of Graves Glen’s ancestors and he’s just in town for a quick trip to recharge the town’s ley lines and make an appearance at the annual fall festival but his trip turns disastrously wrong when he keeps being hit with one calamity after the other. Vivi realises that her silly hex all those years ago wasn’t so harmless so they’re forced to work together to put an end to it before it’s too late.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches – Sangu Mandanna
As one of the few witches in Britain, Mika knows she has to hide her magic. She grew up being told that too many witches in the same place will draw too much attention but that doesn’t stop her from posting videos of herself doing magic online assuming no one will know it’s real.
But someone has noticed the magic is real. She gets a message begging her to travel to the remote and mysterious Nowhere House to teach three young witches to control their magic. She knows it’s against the rules for so many witches to be this close… but how can she abandon them?
When Mika arrives at Nowhere House she’s greeted by an archeologist, a retired actor, 2 long-suffering caretakers, and the handsome librarian. All of them would do anything to protect the children and Mika soon begins to feel like there’s nowhere else she would rather be.

Because of a weird birthmark, Delia’s family all believe she has the power to restore their magic.
But the spell they want her to do is completely horrific and definitely illegal so everyone is shocked when she accidentally breaks the hex. This immediately draws the attention of the world of witches.
Just when Max Halifax thinks he’s done keeping an eye on the bumbling Merriweather women, he discovers the hex placed on them by his great great grandfather has been broken.
